The Lamborghini Urus Performante and Mercedes-AMG G63 are the two super-SUVs we're asked for most — but they could hardly be more different. One is a low, sharp performance machine; the other is an upright icon. Both use a twin-turbo V8; the similarity mostly ends there.
Performance
The Urus Performante is the driver's choice: around 666 PS, 0–100 km/h in roughly 3.3 seconds and genuinely sports-car-like handling for something so practical. The G63 makes around 585 PS and covers 0–100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds — hugely quick for a car shaped like a box, but built for presence rather than lap times.
Character and presence
The Urus looks and drives like a Lamborghini that happens to have five seats — fast, aggressive and low. The G63 is all attitude and heritage: upright, unmistakable and endlessly cool, which is why it dominates music videos and high-profile arrivals. Both seat five; both photograph superbly.
Which should you hire?
Hire the Urus Performante if you want supercar pace and handling with SUV space — ideal for a spirited weekend or a driver who wants to enjoy the road. Hire the G63 (we have it in black and red) if presence is the point: weddings, videos, birthdays and standout arrivals. Many clients hire both across a weekend.
